Black mask peel! Does it really work?
The Black mask peel is very popular and has had mixed reviews by its users. Some people say it works and others say it doesn't, some say it is painful and others say it is not. I have wanted to try the "black mask peel" for a while, but never got around to ordering it. I went to a overstock store in my neighborhood and purchase the black mask peel for $1.00 , needless, to say I was excited about the price. The mask can be ordered online for $12-$15.00 depending on where you order it from.
Their claim: ( not my info ,per the product description)
The Shills Deep Cleansing Purifying Peel-Off Black Face Mask has earned its superstar status by being the ultimate blackhead-buster. Specially-formulated to unblock clogged pores by peeling blackheads, dirt and spot-causing bacteria away. Activated bamboo charcoal acts like a magnet to draw out the most deeply-rooted impurities while naturally-derived ingredients calendula, rosemary and grapefruit help to rebalance and restore a glowing complexion.
How I applied the mask
1st. I cleansed my skin with my " clean and clear" face cleanser
2nd . I steamed my face for 10 min. to open my pores
3rd. I applied the mask with a flat concealer brush. I applied my mask only in my T-zone area not my entire face.
4th. I let the mask dry for 20 mins, then peeled off
5th. I used a toner to cleansed and close poses
6th. Finished with a moisturizer
The results ( from nose,chin,forehead,cheeks)

My experience
- The black mask peel was very easy to apply, was not too messy.
- It took about 20 min for the black mask to dry, I applied a medium layer to my face. The mask gets tight , and dry to the touch when it is ready to be removed
- Removing the mask was not painful, however, if you have hairs on your face it may pull them, and can cause some discomfort
- I was impressed with the amount of whiteheads that came off my face, especially my nose and cheeks
- I have large pores on my cheeks, after the mask I notice that my pores appears smaller
- My skin is softer and smoother, after using mask,
- I use the mask once a weeks, to "deep cleanse" my pores
Does it work
I think it does! It reminds me of the biore nose strips, but you can apply the mask to your entire face. I am happy with the results after using the mask, I can see a difference in my skin. Everyone skin is different, what don't work for one person may work for the other, it is important to find products that works best for your skin type.

Hi Great product review! I was debating around on whether or not to try one of those peel masks and now I have a better idea of if I'm going to try it. I'm glad that it was easy to apply, that helps out a lot.
ReplyDeleteGreat review! I was thinking of trying this mask, so great! Now I will do it :)
ReplyDeleteI was so curious about this! Thanks for sharing your honest review! Probably smart that you didn't apply it to your cheeks (at least the first time). From most reviews, that appears to be the most painful spot to peel it off from!
ReplyDeleteThis is so good to know! I've been wanting to try this for a long time and I probably will now! Even if it's painful to get off, if it works, I don't even mind too much!
ReplyDeleteI was afraid to try it, but curious at the same time. Thinking of just trying it on my nose, in place of the nose strips. Terrible to say, but love pulling them off and looking at what's been pulled out!
ReplyDeleteGreat post. It seems these masks are everywhere on social media, I've been dying to try them. I'm not sure about the pain though hahah
ReplyDeleteI've watched so many painful videos that I was hesitant to try...but now I might! :)
ReplyDeleteI've tried a few of these masks and I haven't had success. However, I missed a few steps that you mentioned. I guess I will have to retry it using your guide! Thanks for the info.
ReplyDeleteWow, never tried this product before but it sounds like it works great! I'm definitely putting this on my shopping list!
